Thanks Mr Goodfellow for allowing the community to post educational and family values on HPFOLKS. Education is a must for everyone who wants to make something out of themselves. So is home teaching and family value.Which brings the historical meaning of the term ZULU,as in the name of the Amazulu tribe who later in history became the Zulu Nation. Here in Highland Park there is plans to name a vacant lot which is located on the southeast corner of Woodwood Ave & Massachusetts St ZULU PARK in the honor of our pan american black ancestors.I fully support any activities or events that our children, and their children can benefit and learn from about their black heritage, and of course as time goes on the question will be asked about Zulu, and it can be explained exactly what the meaning of Zulu is.I believe in my mind I am writing this post to promote the fact that we need more Black History and Awareness taught in our Highland Park school system, and that's where family value in the home can be useful.Let's return to teaching our young children how to give respect in order to receive respect in return. In closing I hope that the okay will be given for Zulu Park, and these same citizens who helped to create the concept will also plan to get a landmarker with short brief history of the Zulu Nation's engraved on the marker. But in the event that the plan should die down we should stilleducate our children about where humanity first started, and how we can keep the tradition alive today.
