Once Again, The City of Highland Park,has gotten media attention.Why are we allowing people from outside our city,to work in many city government offices? We need to take charge of running our own city affairs.As well as operating our own city departments. The need to re-establish our own public safety force,to patrol our city's neighborhoods,and to make our communities safe once again.I have made many calls to 911 to report traffic,and other unlawful problems,and after three or four hours of waiting the police shows up.Our new City Adminstration,should take a look at how the city departments are being ran.We need our own health dept.We need better public housing,and above all we need to run our own city business.How in the world can our city afford to pay a outside $125 per hour,and we can't reopen the library? Highland Park,is our city not the states. |

I just recently discovered this web site, and am very inpressed, with Brother Akbarx's logic. I was born in Highland Park General Hospital, and lived in H.P. for 25 years. I left H.P. in the late 80's, and am very sad, that a once beautiful lady, has been so badly treated. Brother Akbarx is right, Y'all need to take H.P. back from the brink, and restore her dignity. |

Thanks My Brother Thomas.This website was created and put into operation by a very good friend of mine.The Detroit news have discovered this site a few months ago,and did a short story about it.As members of the Highland Park community.We must do positive things by the word of mouth.The word of mouth is a powerful tool in communications.Also I would like to say to you Thomas,Welcome back home,and we are happy to have you back.This city have issues to deal with like any other city in America.But one thing for sure it is recovering from the wounds.Thanks Again Brother Thomas.
