Mr. John Doe City of Detroit Population Czar ... what a business card! Blocking I75 with cars and chains... I can't get past the image of a Mack truck at 55mph. Highland Park hit what could be described as bottom... now making improvements and looking forward. Detroit has very little to offer. Vivid childhood memory, age 10,"Niger go home" painted on the walls of my church. Congregation had spent the previous day painting the entire building "bright white" which has stuck with me... not so bright to correctly spell the slur. | ||

Exactly Urbanator. Flagrant racism usually spawns from the most ignorant. See it for what it is, a disease that infects all of us to degrees. I'm sorry your church was vandalized. With communication, improved environment and education we can, at least, imagine a future generation being born free of infection. When the last generation, unfortunate enough to be infected, collectively agrees never to make any reference to race so that the incoming generation doesn't even know any distinction concerning race, maybe racism will be close to being dead. Urbanator, please be brave. You don't have to worry so much about Mack trucks; they slow down and stop for red taillights fairly fast. I'm fairly confident that a sizable number of truckers will be sympathetic to the cause of investigating the truth behind 911 that they'll contribute their rigs as part of the blockade. What you have to worry about is tear gas. Please spread the word, bring a gas mask. | ||

Hahahahahaha Urbanator. The real danger is Human GAS,and if anyone is that stupid to block a government highway needs to be ran over.As far as your church goes I feel the pain from you.I am from North Carolina but I came to Brighton & 12 Street at the age of 6,and I recall one summer when I was sent to the south for the summer,and that same summer my Uncle's and Aunt died in a fire where the whites in hood burned their house down.Because one of my cousins had been in town,and made a pass at one of his white school female friends.Also I will never forget watching the Whites burn churches in Birmingham Alabama which killed Men,Women and Children in them fires,and today I can still feel the racist & hate that still lives,and to see white cry about what Blacks is so-called doing to them make me want to throw-up on their white sheets they wear. I told that to someone two hours ago,and they asked me is Blacks treating each other any better,and of I had to say HELL NO. | ||

Trucker's who stop for people with gas masks might not be a good thing! All the kids were given a turn painting over the slur... at the time I was impressed at being allowed to paint while wearing "Sunday's Best"... now I appreciate how important it was for the kids to "do something"... |
