I'm working on a new movie. It will be done soon. In the meantime, watch the old movie and the new EAS tag I made. Once uploaded onto Youtube, the new movie will have: 1: A brand new, longer intro. 2: Footage of the tornado going through the suburbs, including HP and Southgate. Thank You. ------------------------------ It Was a Sunny day in Metro Detroit, Today Was June 30 2005, 6:30 AM. The Weather Was Good until a Fast Moving Rainshower on the St. Clair/Macomb County Line Quickly Changed into a Severe Thunderstorm. The NWS (National Weather Service) Issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Detroit and Suburbs Effective as of 10:00 AM. 15 Minutes Later, NWS Ultra Advanced Doppler Radar in Pontiac/Detroit Had Indicated a Severe Thunderstorm With Tornadic Rotation in 3 Locations: Near New Baltimore, Michigan, Walled Lake, Michigan and Flat Rock, Michigan. At 10:15 AM, The Storm Crossed The Detroit City Limits. At 10:30 AM, The Last Remaining Thunderstorm Warning was Upgraded to a Tornado Warning And At The Same Time, An F-4 Tornado Formed on The Outskirts of Utica, Michigan. 1 of The Local TV Stations in Detroit - WWJ TV - A CBS Affilate Which Was Broadcasting on Channel 62. It was Broadcasting the EAS* (Emergency Alert System) Due to this Storm. Each City had their Own Way... For Detroit, It was Silent Execpt The EAS Tone. For Ann Arbor, There Was an Announcer. Etc. Trained Weather Spotters Confirmed a Tornado Touchdown in Mt. Clemens, Michigan and The Mayor of Detroit called MSP (Michigan State Police): "State Police? This is Kilpatrick. Turn On The Warning Sirens NOW! All TV and Radio Stations In Detroit Are Broadcasting the EAS (Emergency Alert System) Since the Storm is Here. Turn On All Sirens Or Else, As Soon As This Storm Passes, I'm Disbanding You! Goodbye." So a State Trooper Turned On the Warning Sirens Before The Tornado Entered Detroit. The Tornado Spawned Others Before The Storm Finally Weakened. It Was The Worst Storm That Metro Detroit Has Ever Saw. Thanks to the NWS, The Ultra Advanced Doppler Radar in Pontiac And The Doppler Radar in Detroit, An Early Warning Was Given. That Early Warning As Well As The EAS People Get To Safety Before This Storm Hit. And It Lasted The Whole Day. LATER ON.... The Mayor Of Detroit, With Help From the American Red Cross, FCC, Local Authorities in Metro Detroit And the Mayors of The Suburbs Summed Up The Damage and...... It Was an F-3 And Some F-4'S. The End. The EAS Video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X19Y9d7qa3s ----------------------- * - Emergency Alert System - Created By the FCC In 1994 Replaced the EBS (Emergency Broadcast System). Features the Sound of A Thunderbeam Siren (movie takes place at Mack and Russell in Detroit.) Enjoy! (Message edited by Southgateellen on December 13, 2008) |
