HEY THOMAS, DO YOU KNOW WHAT YEAR? THE INFOMATION I HAVE WAS FROM THE LIBRARY, STARTS IN THE YEAR 1818 . I HAVE A PAGE THAT TALKS ABOUT JOHN T MOTT THE WHITEWOOD POSTMASTER BORN IN 1846. HE SERVED 3 YEARS IN THE CIVIL WAR, AFTER THE WAR HE SETTLED IN WHITEWOOD NOW HIGHLAND PARK AN OPENED THE FRIST GENERAL STORE AND POSTOFFICE. IN 1874 HE MARRIED EMILY DAVISON. HIS 2 STORY BUILDING STOOD ON WOODWARD NEAR WHAT IS NOW CALLED BERESFORD. I DONT SEE WHAT YEAR WHITEWOOD CAME ABOUT. I WILL TRY AN FIND OUT |

Jeff, I have a History of detroit, that also has H.P. in it, I will try and find it, but give me a few day's.Judge Woodward named the street after himself, and when called on it, he said the street went towards the wood's, so therefor, it was Woodward.Patty Duke's granma lived on Cottage Grove, and didn't come to her funeral, my dad was a pallbearer. |
