This thread is to describe where drugs are being sold in Highland Park. If you have a video camera and can secretly catch it on film, that would be excellent evidence for the sheriff. Try to get license plate numbers, names, descriptions and vehicle identification. Also, we want to make a list of all the abandoned houses in Highland Park so that plans can be made for their demolition. Also, give addresses of all empty lots that have been used for illegal dumping. Also, show up on the 4th of July at I-75 and Davison freeway in any vehicle to help create a blockade to demand investigations into the events of September 11, 2001. Please carry signs that say, "911 was an INSIDE JOB", "BUSH is a NAZI FASCIST", "INVESTIGATE 911". The blockade will start at 9AM on Monday morning, the 4th of July at the intersection of I-75 and the Davison Freeway (highway 8). If you have chain and locks you can spare to stretch across the highway, bring them. Bring food and water. Open the hood of your car and remove something that prevents it from being started, like the distributor cap or the battery. Be safe, be careful, we don't want anybody to get hurt. We just want to stop traffic. We want to jam the gears of the machine and remind all Americans on Independence Day that the American PEOPLE still rule and that fascists in power will be dealt with harshly after the 911 investigation is completed. | ||

Thread Keeper: Thank you for starting this new section. While it is easy for anyone to gripe about a problem, once a problem is listed, we can all see what is done or not done about it. Also, if anyone is having problems with abandoned/junk automobiles piling up near your home, please list those locations as well. In the past six months, the Sheriff's (working with H.P. officials) have closed chop shops and illegal mechanics operations on Richton, Farrand Park and Avalon at Second. Lets see how much more we can get done together. | ||

I just spoke to Wayne County Sheriff's Dept., Highland Park division. Their number is 313-852-7338. Their car should be going by soon. At first, they told me to go in and fill out a form. Can you believe it? | ||

I've sent a message to the Highland Park District 3 County Commissioner, Moe Blackwell, to look into the reasons that the Wayne County Sheriff fails to respond. I urge you all to contact him also. Friends and Neighbors....75 Brighton has filled with squatters and crack users. What now? P.S. I once had to fill out a drug tip form at the mini-station too. The Sheriff's said that is done so they can tell the drug unit as well as the Highland Park officers. | ||

Curious--well, let's see what happens. I sent the information you provided to Moe Blackwell, the County Commissioner for District 3, Highland Park. The Commissioners are elected to oversee the operations of all departments in the county including the sheriff. If nothing happens, Moe should be held accountable. Hopefully, 75 Brighton will be cleaned out soon. Please keep us informed one way or the other what, if anything, happens. | ||

We want the drug dealers, drugs users and squatters driven out of town and we're holding you accountable for making it happen.
