The Alerts and Response site is in two parts:

Alerts that are posted by the Wayne County Sheriff's office,
specifically to inform citizens of ongoing illegal activity. Only the WCS's
Office can post here.

Feedback from the community. The public is invited to post
observations of illegal activity. In this way, the community acts
as the eyes and ears for the authorities. Open to all.
